Why I Don’t Make Resolutions

I change my mind way too much. I mean, I’m still going to do whatever I say I’m going to do. It just might not get done in the next twelve months.

For instance, I bought Verché in 2018 and I was ready to hit the road. Instead, I moved back to MN, bought a house (this wasn’t a part of any plan) and traveled to seven more countries with my mini.

Verché was chilling.

Would I have felt like a failure if I didn’t make my 2018 plan come into fruition that year? Nope! Because, I did some other awesome ish instead. But, I know what I WANT to make happen. It just doesn’t always happen when I want it. I’m well pass the need for immediate gratification…kinda.

This was almost Verche.

Just as a reminder to myself, I’m going to list my PLANS/GOALS with no immediate date to be reached (because whatever I say I’m going to do, I do…unless I change my mind)!

Buy some land.

Buy two tiny houses.

Put a school bus on my land and convert it into a homeschool co-op.

Expand my website (that’s a maybe).

Retire by 35 and live off passive income and investments…maybe…because as much as retirement sounds good, I stay with a plate full when it comes to work and projects.

Oh yeah, and have a big ole garden that someone else tends to.

My baby almost got this wack ass name!

If you are making resolutions, don’t worry about when you’ll complete them, focus on how you’re going to complete them. Be a verb (action)!
